One of the best operating systems known for its stability and quick installation is Windows XP by Microsoft. Even in the latest version of Windows 7, Microsoft enabled the use of Windows XP. The first step is to load the CD into your DVD-ROM drive. Now, restart your computer. When prompted with “Press any key to boot from CD’, just press any of the keys in your keyboard.

The next thing to do to install windows XP to your laptop is to wait for the screen to pop Windows Setup out. You will be asked to select New Windows Install or Repair Previous Install – or to quit. Now, hit the ‘Enter’ key to start a new installation.

The third step is to follow the setup wizard as a screen will be prompted to finish the installation process of your operating system. Create the partition by hitting the letter “C”. It is up to you to decide on how many partitions you need, and the partition size. Now, if you’re through deciding about the size of your partitions, hit ‘Enter’. Now select which partition would you like to locate your operating system XP file. Choose NFTS, then complete the installation with the aid of on-screen command prompts.
